Product Description: With a rustic equestrian flavor, The Tynecastle Round Dining Table has a criss-crossed beam-like base reminiscent of rafters in a barn, elevated by chunky feet. The table extends to 78-inches with one 18-inch leaf, seating up to six guests with the leaf in place. Crafted of Poplar Solids and Figured Alder Veneers, the Tynecastle Dining Table has a warm chestnut-colored finish to create a canvas of comfort and classic appeal.
Collection Features: Named for the Tynecastle area of Northern England, the 50-piece Tynecastle collection is inspired by the manor homes and equestrian life of the English countryside. Tynecastle combines classic Georgian architechural details with more rustic timber-frame elements and leather accents, creating a ''manor home to tack room'' Hunt Country flavor.

Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
